My Testimony: From Darkness to Light

My name is Yothaka, and I am the founder of D.HOPE. I want to share my personal journey as a testament to God’s incredible grace and faithfulness, and I believe my story can bring hope and inspiration to those who need it.

I was raised in Thailand under challenging circumstances. My childhood was marked by instability; my family was poor, and my parents separated when I was just two years old. My mother worked tirelessly to support both me and my grandmother, leaving me primarily in her care. Despite her love and sacrifice, the environment i lived in was fraught with violence and neglect and abuse, which left me feeling unloved and unworthy.

These early experiences profoundly affected my teenage and young adult years. I spent this time searching for love and acceptance, often feeling isolated and alone. My struggles led me into addiction and unstable relationships, leaving me trapped in a cycle of darkness and despair.

For years, my life was overshadowed by addiction, depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem. I felt as though I was lost and hopeless, sometimes wishing to disappear. I had been a Buddhist throughout my life, seeking solace and answers through my faith. Yet, in my moments of deepest despair, I reached out to God, not as a believer but as someone desperate for hope. I prayed even though I felt filthy and unworthy of God, seeking guidance and light in my darkest hours.

It was in that profound moment of desperation that I encountered the love of Christ. Though I had not known Him before, God’s grace and the message of Jesus Christ began to transform my life. I experienced a love and peace that surpassed all understanding, and I realized that God’s grace was more powerful than any struggle I had faced.

After a decade marked by addiction and failed relationships, I reached a turning point. With God’s love guiding me, I found healing and purpose. This journey of transformation led me to establish D.HOPE, dedicated to offering hope and encouragement to others who are struggling.

If you find yourself in a place of despair, I want you to know that God’s grace can reach you, no matter where you are on your spiritual journey. Embrace His love and believe that He can bring transformation and healing to your life. Your path may be difficult, but with God’s grace and the love of Christ guiding you, a brighter future is within reach.
